Anywhere Bench
In 2019, the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design relocated to its new campus. To activate the garden space, we were tasked with designing site-specific benches. At the time, the park featured a few newly installed, fixed furniture, primarily concentrated in one area. The goal of the design was to complement these existing benches while extending seating options across a wider portion of the garden, accommodating a variety of spatial situations. The bench is mobile and reconfigurable, inviting users to adapt them to different settings. Adjustable legs ensure stability, while the design’s multifunctionality —serving as seating, storage, and table—supports diverse ways of inhabiting the garden.
